2009 Annual General Meeting

Notice of Annual Meeting of the Members (business meeting)

Pursuant to CRKN by-law sections 17 and 18, the annual meeting of the members (business meeting) will be held electronically via web-based meeting on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 12:00 EDT, for the following purposes:

  • To approve the minutes of the 2008 Annual General Meeting (Montreal, September 23, 2008) and the minutes of the Special Meeting of the Corporation (Ottawa, June 23, 2009);
  • To receive the Financial Statements for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2009 and the report of the auditors thereon;
  • To appoint the auditors for the fiscal year 2009-2010;
  • To consider by-law amendments (if any); and
  • To transact any other business as may properly be brought before the meeting.

Individuals eligible to vote at this meeting must be the CRKN voting representatives for their member institution as appointed by the university president, or have been given written proxy by the voting representative. The voting representative may also give written proxy to the Chair of the CRKN Board of Directors.

Proxy forms are available here or upon request from the CRKN office. Signed proxy forms must be received by CRKN no later than October 6, 2009 at 4:00 pm EDT.

Advance registration for the meeting will be available at the end of August 2009.
