The 2008 Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) will be held Tuesday, September 23 and Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Montreal, 1255 Jeanne-Mance, Montreal, Quebec.
Please note that a pre-AGM workshop focused on the new DCI content implementation will take place on Monday, September 22, 2008. This session will be of primary interest to collections and user-services personnel.
Pursuant to CRKN by-law sections 17 and 18, the annual meeting of the members (business meeting) will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Montreal at 3:00 pm local time, for the following purposes:
- To approve the minutes of the 2007 Annual General Meeting (Toronto, ON);
- To receive the Financial Statements for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008 and the report of the auditors thereon;
- To appoint the auditors for the fiscal year 2008-2009;
- To consider by-law amendments; and
- To transact any other business as may properly be brought before the meeting.
Individuals eligible to vote at this meeting must be the CRKN voting representatives for their member institution as appointed by the university president, or have been given written proxy by the voting representative. The voting representative may also give written proxy to the Chair of the CRKN Board of Directors.
Proxy forms are available at <CLICK HERE> or upon request from the CRKN office, and must be signed and presented to CRKN in hard copy prior to the start of the business meeting.
